Hospitals Still Plagued by Excessive Financial Challenges, AHA Finds

There has been a 258% increase in total contract labor expenses for hospitals in 2022 compared to 2019.

Tips to Give Your Prospect List a Spring Cleaning

“Spring cleaning” is the annual practice of thoroughly cleaning a house or apartment in celebration of the new season. It dates to the time when homes were heated with burning wood (and, later, coal), which created soot and dirt that would cover your home and furnishings. The arrival of spring brought on a through cleaning, painting, and purge.

But a spring refresh is not limited to your home life. You can embrace the concept for your business, too. Now is the ideal time to “clean things out,” reset your expectations for the year, and refocus. That includes reevaluating your prospect list and, in some cases, reviewing and updating your office tech.

Knowing a client’s issue is the first step to finding a solution.

Maybe because Spring is here or possibly for some other reason, but the number of active health insurance professionals seeking advice on how to stay active and find a way to build a succession plan has increased.  After writing many articles on this topic, publishing a book on the topic, and attending several conferences as speaker or exhibitor, the recent uptick in interest is very satisfying.

“Letters on Integrity”

“You always do what you want to do. This is true with every act.  You may say that you had to do something or that you were forced to, but actually whatever you do, you do my choice.  Only you have the power to choose for yourself.”

W. Clement Stone

Who is the Choice Maker? Stone, one of the 20th century’s most inspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders, answers that question:  No matter where an individual is placed on an organizational flow chart… in the Mailroom or the Boardroom…each individual has the opportunity to become The Choice Maker.  The Choice Maker, managing their influence for Good, keeps focused on a personal and professional mantra: I choose to stand in the center of my thoughts feelings and actions.
