California Law Adds Consumer Protections to Pet Insurance

BulldogIn California, thanks to a new law requiring pet health insurers to disclose information about reimbursement, limitations on coverage, waiting periods, and deductibles, buying pet health insurance in the state will get easier. “California consumers will now have greater protection when they purchase pet insurance,” says California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones. “In the state with the largest number of insured pets, once again California is leading the way by becoming the first state in the nation to enact a law that adds consumer protections to this rapidly growing line of insurance. I would like to thank Governor Brown for signing our bill and giving Californians peace of mind when it comes to protecting their pets,” according to a recent report at www.dogtime.com.
